The average effective duration of the securities portfolio was 3.7 years, compared with 3.8 years at March 31, 2024 and 5.5 years at June 30, 2023.

•Net charge-offs of $184 million, or 52 basis points of average loans and leases, increased 2 basis points compared with the prior quarter given broadly stable charge-offs and lower average loans. •The second quarter 2024 provision for credit losses of $182 million compares with $171 million for first quarter 2024. The ratio of allowance for credit losses to total loans of 1.63% increased from 1.61% as of March 31, 2024, primarily reflecting lower loan balances given Non-Core run off and commercial paydowns and balance sheet optimization.
