As previously disclosed in a Current Report on Form 8-K filed by Occidental Petroleum Corporation (“Occidental”) on July 19, 2024, Occidental and Ecopetrol S.A. (“Ecopetrol”) were engaged in discussions regarding a structure for Ecopetrol’s potential acquisition of an undivided thirty percent (30%) interest in the assets being purchased by Occidental from CrownRock, L.P. (“CrownRock”). On July 31, 2024, Ecopetrol informed Occidental that it has decided not to acquire any interest in the CrownRock assets.
