Item 8.01. Other Events.
On April 29, 2022, the Board of Trustees of Guggenheim Strategic Opportunities Fund (the “Registrant”) approved a new sub-advisory agreement among the Registrant, Guggenheim Funds Investment Advisors, LLC (the “Investment Adviser”), the Registrant’s investment adviser, and Guggenheim Partners Advisors, LLC (“GPA”) to provide investment sub-advisory services to the Registrant. GPA will assist the Registrant’s current sub-adviser, Guggenheim Partners Investment Management, LLC (“GPIM”), in the supervision and direction of the investment strategy of the Registrant.
The new sub-advisory agreement among the Registrant, the Investment Adviser and GPA will not affect the Registrant’s investment objective or investment policies or change the composition of the portfolio management team. For providing investment sub-advisory services, the Investment Adviser will compensate GPA out of the advisory fees the Investment Adviser receives from the Registrant, and GPA will not be paid by the Registrant. The Investment Adviser, GPIM and GPA are affiliates and part of Guggenheim Investments.
